Bruksvallarna is a scenic and living mountain community where tourists and locals mingle since several generations. The resort attracts the cross-country élite from all over the world. The floodlit track has snowmaking facilities further enhancing the attraction of Bruksvallarna. Those more interested in alpine skiing can easily go to Ramundberget, by car, ski bus or the ski taxi. For cross-country expeditions, most people prefer to start from Walles or Stigmyhrs, who offer ski-joring up to Kariknallen. In Bruksvallarna there is a sports shop, supermarket, petrol station and several restaurants and cafés: 'Bruksvallarnas Fjällhotell', 'Bruksvallsliden', 'Kariknallen', 'Myhrtuvan', 'Vävstugan' and 'Walles'. The three hotels arrange dance nights and the bars are open to nightlife. Accommodation is available in hotels, apartments, chalets or camping. Mittådalen och Messlingen Starting from Mittådalen, one of the two Sami communities in the Funäsdalen area, the road takes you across Flatruet. This is the highest road in Sweden and an impressive drive with roadside snowdrifts, sometimes up to ten metres high. Ljusnedal Ljusnedal is a small, idyllic village with well-kept works and the scenic mountain Anåfjället in the background. Horseback riding on Icelandic horses, dinner and nightlife at Gyllene Bocken are some preferred late activities in Ljusnedal. The Nordic Ski tracks together with a 7 km long, floodlit track are ideal for those skiers who stay in cottages, looking for peace and quiet. For snowmobile riders, the hotel is an alternative. Tännäs TännäsKröket - for alpin skiiers, 4 lifts and 14 pistes (5 of them open just for offpiste). Yet another well-preserved gem in the Funäsdalen area, with Sweden's highest church.
